Reims - best restaurant for family dinner

User opinions about Le Grand Café

All living organisms needs food to survive and the human species has brought food into the art. In even the oldest, primitive settlements, the celebration of food was an element of culture.
In developed civilizations like in Reims people like Addison Sanders usually don't have time to prepare food by themselves. Not only typical tourist destinations have restaurants. For example here in Reims there are plenty of them, where you can try new spicy chicken and korean rice cakes like Peyton Bauer last holidays.

You have to remember that improper food or nutrition could be danger to your health. Even the processing of food has a fundamental meaning. Probably you have no idea that mushroom and spinach stromboli with warm barley and broccoli salad has 500 kcal per 100 grams. Bella Murray really recommend this dish.

Best restaurants in Reims

We serve food in traditional dishes like meat pies from the family kitchen. In our ancient and primitive societies, however, the food that was offered was mostly meat pies. The human species is now consuming far more meat than ever before, which means we have to think differently about what is good to eat and how to eat it. We can no longer ignore human needs and we must learn to be much more efficient about how much food we consume.

In my own opinion, the best kind of vegetarian/vegan cuisine is that which incorporates the best aspects of both. It is not easy to make meat pies without cheese and it certainly is not easy to create a great meat pie without cheese.

Where to eat in Reims

I think the best part of this dish is that the meat was cooked in the most traditional way without having to use any kind of meat substitute. I have always loved a good meat pie and I am certain that if I were to try to create this vegan version of the meat pie, I could not make it any better. It just might be my personal favorite pie yet! Frequently Asked Questions:

How was the "Royal Meal" of King Louis XIV inspired by your menu at Il Duomo?

The Royal Meal of King Louis XIV, also known as the French Sun King, was inspired by my menu at Il Duomo in many ways. His meals were grand and elaborate affairs, often featuring multiple courses with rich sauces, luxurious ingredients, and intricate presentations. At Il Duomo, we strive to create a similar experience for our diners through meticulously crafted dishes that showcase the very best of Italian cuisine.
One of the key similarities between King Louis XIV's Royal Meals and my menu at Il Duomo is the focus on luxury ingredients. Both aim to offer guests an unforgettable dining experience by using only the finest, freshest, and most decadent ingredients available. For example, we might serve a dish of sea bass with saffron risotto at Il Duomo, which echoes the opulence of French cuisine during Louis XIV's reign when dishes like Poule au Pot (chicken cooked with vegetables in a rich chicken broth) were popular among the elite.
Another way that the Royal Meal of King Louis XIV was inspired by my menu at Il Duomo is through the emphasis on presentation. Both styles of cooking prioritize beautiful plating and garnishing, as well as creating an atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. At Il Duomo, we strive to create dishes that not only taste incredible but also look stunning on the plate, much like how the French chefs of Louis XIV's time would present their meals with great care and attention to detail.
Overall, while there are certainly differences between Italian and French cuisine, both cultures share a love for luxury, elegance, and creating memorable dining experiences. By drawing inspiration from historical figures like King Louis XIV, I am able to continue this tradition at Il Duomo by offering diners a taste of the past through our modern interpretations of classic dishes.

I had the pleasure of dining at Le Crypto during my recent trip to Reims, France. My partner and I were seeking a unique dining experience that combined delicious food with an interesting atmosphere, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location, situated at 14 Place du Forum, was easy to find and conveniently located near other attractions in the city.

Upon entering Le Crypto, we were immediately struck by its intriguing ambiance. The restaurant's decor is a mix of modern and medieval elements, featuring exposed brick walls, low ceilings, and candlelit tables. The result is an intimate and cozy atmosphere that transports you to another time.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us through the various dishes and wine options available. We started with a selection of artisan cheeses accompanied by fresh baguette slices and a tangy fruit compote. The cheese selection was impressive, featuring local favorites such as Maroilles and Époisses, along with some less common varieties like Livarot and Pont-l'Évêque.

For our main course, my partner opted for the grilled pigeon breast served atop a bed of creamy polenta with roasted root vegetables and a red wine reduction sauce. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were perfectly balanced - the richness of the meat was offset by the earthy sweetness of the accompanying vegetables and the acidity of the wine sauce.

I chose the seafood platter, which included grilled shrimp, scallops, mussels, and clams, all cooked to perfection and served with a lemon herb butter. The seafood was fresh and succulent, and the butter added just the right amount of zesty tanginess.

Throughout our meal, we enjoyed excellent service from our server who checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. The pacing of the courses was also well-executed, allowing us to fully savor each dish before moving on to the next.

We rounded out our dining experience with a shared dessert - a warm chocolate lava cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cake had a rich, velvety texture and the perfect amount of gooeyness when sliced open. It was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal.

In conclusion, Le Crypto is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience authentic French cuisine in a unique setting. With its charming atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service, it's no wonder that this restaurant has become one of my favorite dining spots during our time in Reims. I would highly recommend making a reservation if you plan on visiting - trust me; you won't want to miss out on this culinary gem!

my fiance and I came across a bustling cafe that immediately caught our attention. The elegant facade and lively atmosphere beckoned us inside, and we eagerly made our way to Restaurant Café de la Paix. We settled into our cozy table by the window, admiring the picturesque view of the square outside. Our initial excitement was soon replaced with a sense of anticipation as we eagerly perused the menu, eager to indulge in some truly exquisite cuisine. The waiter arrived promptly, and we wasted no time in ordering our meals. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I couldn't resist the tantalizing prospect of sampling their signature dish - the "Filet de Boeuf Wellington" - while my fiance opted for the classic "Coq au Vin". However, as we watched our meals being prepared, it became apparent that something was amiss. Our orders were incorrectly executed, leaving us both feeling somewhat disappointed. We politely requested that they be rectified, but unfortunately, our second attempts fell short of our expectations. Despite this minor setback, we couldn't help but marvel at the overall atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. The décor was exquisite - a perfect blend of classic and contemporary elements that left us both feeling utterly enchanted. The lighting was soft and atmospheric, creating an intimate and romantic setting that was ideal for our evening out. Comparing Café de la Paix to other restaurants in Reims, I would say that it certainly holds its own in terms of ambiance and charm. However, the quality of the food left something to be desired - we've had better meals elsewhere. That being said, I believe that this restaurant is still worth trying for the sheer magnificence of its surroundings alone. As we finished our dessert and sipped on our coffee, we both couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and amazement at the overall experience. Although the food may not have lived up to our expectations, the charm and elegance of this establishment more than made up for it - an evening spent in the company of my beloved, surrounded by such beauty and opulence, was truly a night to remember. In light of today's news regarding the recent outbreak of COVID-19, I would like to commend Café de la Paix for taking all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of its patrons during these trying times. We felt completely at ease throughout our stay, reassured by the stringent measures that were put in place to mitigate any potential risks. In conclusion, while our dining experience may not have been entirely perfect, I would still wholeheartedly recommend Café de la Paix to anyone visiting Reims in search of a truly unforgettable evening out. The sheer magnificence and grandeur of this establishment more than makes up for any minor shortcomings - an evening spent here is one that you're sure to cherish forever.

As a seasoned waiter with years of experience under my belt, I decided it was high time for me to take a well-deserved break and treat myself to an exquisite dining experience. And what better place to do so than the illustrious Version Originale located at the heart of Reims' bustling streets?

I had heard much about this fine establishment from my colleagues in the industry, and the reviews did not disappoint. From its sleek exterior to the sumptuous cuisine served within, Version Originale was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. And let me tell you, every penny spent on the meal was worth it!

My journey to this gastronomic paradise began at the iconic Reims Cathedral. This majestic landmark is a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage and serves as a beacon of hope for all who pass by its stunning facade. I made my way through the winding streets, admiring the quaint boutiques and colorful street performers along the way. After a leisurely stroll, I finally arrived at Version Originale, nestled in the quiet neighborhood of Rue du Temple. The ambiance inside was just as captivating as the exterior, with dim lighting and plush leather seating that transported me to a bygone era. The service was impeccable, and my waiter for the evening, a young and charming gentleman named Pierre, made me feel right at home from the outset. As I perused the menu, I couldn't help but notice the delectable array of French delicacies on offer. From succulent steaks to crisp salads, every dish seemed like a work of art. But it was the seafood that really caught my eye - plump oysters, succulent prawns, and tender lobster tail all beckoned seductively from the plate. After much deliberation, I finally settled on the signature dish: grilled salmon with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. And let me tell you, my taste buds were dancing with delight as I savored each bite! The fish was cooked to perfection - flaky and moist, yet with just enough crispness on the outside. The mash, meanwhile, was smooth and velvety, with just the right amount of garlic and herbs for a truly decadent experience. As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but notice the curious glances from my fellow diners. It seemed that I had attracted quite a bit of attention, what with my flamboyant attire and theatric mannerisms. But I didn't care - I was here to indulge in the finer things in life, and nothing could stop me!

In fact, as I savored each bite and sipped on the finest wines, I couldn't help but feel a sense of mockery towards those who scrimped and saved for every meal. How could they possibly enjoy the simple pleasures of life when there was so much luxury to be had? It was akin to living in a third-world country when the world's riches lay right before your eyes!

But I digress - this is not the time nor the place for such lofty thoughts. Instead, let us focus on the here and now - on the sumptuous cuisine, the impeccable service, and the unmatched ambiance that makes Version Originale the finest dining establishment in all of Reims.

Last summer, my boyfriend and I embarked on a journey in search of the perfect culinary experience. We had heard that Les Cornichons was a hidden gem in Reims, and we eagerly made our way there to sample its offerings. The restaurant boasts an intimate ambiance, with dim lighting and plush seating that immediately put us at ease. As we perused the menu, my heart skipped a beat at the sight of delectable dishes such as truffle risotto, duck breast, and chocolate lava cake. Our appetites whetted, we ordered our meals with anticipation. The service was impeccable, with attentive waitstaff who seemed genuinely invested in ensuring that we had an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, our excitement was short-lived as we encountered a significant hiccup during the check calculation process. We had noticed that our bill did not match the total amount charged to our credit card, and upon further investigation, we discovered a discrepancy of over 200 euros. Our hearts sank as we realized that we had been overcharged. At first, we assumed it was an honest mistake on the part of the restaurant staff, but after several attempts to rectify the issue, it became clear that something more sinister was at play. The management team seemed evasive and unwilling to take responsibility for their error, leaving us feeling disheartened and disillusioned. Despite this setback, we couldn't help but compare Les Cornichons to other restaurants in Reims. In terms of taste and presentation, the food was undoubtedly some of the best we had ever tasted. However, the subpar service and lackluster resolution to our issue left a sour taste in our mouths. We found ourselves questioning whether the experience would have been worth it if we hadn't been overcharged. In contrast, other restaurants in Reims such as Le Parvis and La Table de Jacques Thorel offer exceptional service and value for money. While their menus might not be as extensive as Les Cornichons, they more than make up for it with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. It's clear that these establishments prioritize building long-term relationships with their patrons rather than just focusing on short-term profits. In light of recent events in the financial world, such as the Chinese central bank's decision to maintain policy rates and inject funds through reverse repos at unchanged costs, it's clear that stability is a top priority for many countries. The Fed's imminent rate cut also highlights the importance of finding a balance between supporting economic growth and managing currency fluctuations. As we reflect on our experience at Les Cornichons, we can't help but wonder whether their overcharging was a deliberate attempt to make up for any potential losses they might have incurred due to these global events. It's a mystery that leaves us with more questions than answers, and one that we hope will be resolved soon. In conclusion, while Les Cornichons has the potential to be an exceptional dining experience, its shortcomings in service and transparency cannot be ignored. As consumers, it's important for us to prioritize our own financial wellbeing and hold establishments accountable for their actions. We hope that by sharing our experience, we can encourage others to do the same and promote a culture of trust and integrity in the dining industry. As for Les Cornichons, we can only hope that they take responsibility for their errors and work to rebuild the trust of their patrons. Until then, we'll continue to explore Reims' thriving culinary scene and search for establishments that prioritize value, service, and transparency over profit margins.

As a truck driver passing through Reims, I'm always surprised at how much the locals love Le Pré Champenois. People from this beautiful city often visit this elegant restaurant nestled in an enchanting location just steps away from the iconic Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Reims and the historic Palace of Tau. Le Pré Champenoise is their go-to choice for special occasions or simply for a delightful meal with family and friends, offering not only superb cuisine but also warm and attentive service in an idyllic setting. I remember once when I was in Charllee, a small town near Reims known for its excellent champagne, I heard about a strange visitor who entered the restaurant causing quite a commotion. There was even a police intervention involved but that's another story altogether!

As a food enthusiast, my husband Jesus Gillespie and I recently dined at the charming restaurant, Il Duomo, nestled on Rue Buirette in Reims, France. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service from the friendly staff.

The waitstaff, dressed in crisp white shirts and black pants, exuded an air of confidence and professionalism as they led us to our table. Their attentive demeanor added an extra layer of excitement to our dining experience, leaving us eager to indulge in the culinary delights that awaited us.

During our meal, one of my colleagues had a disagreement with a staff member regarding the ingredients used in a particular dish. The waiter remained calm and collected throughout the interaction, patiently explaining the dish's unique flavor profile and ingredients to my colleague. His knowledge and demeanor left a lasting impression on us, as we witnessed firsthand his exceptional customer service skills.

Throughout our meal, the atmosphere in Il Duomo was electric with a lively energy that filled the room. The soft background music and hushed conversations of other diners added to the intimate ambiance of the restaurant, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening or a night out with friends.

The menu at Il Duomo did not disappoint either. From the fragrant aroma of freshly baked bread served alongside our appetizers to the rich and decadent desserts that left us speechless, every dish was a masterpiece that showcased the best of French cuisine.

Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience at Il Duomo. The impeccable service, attention to detail, and exquisite cuisine made for an unforgettable evening that left us eager to return again soon. Highly recommended!

As a single traveler exploring the charming city of Reims, I stumbled upon Les 3 Brasseurs, and it quickly became my go-to spot for indulging in delicious cuisine. Situated at the heart of Place Drouet d'Erlon, this restaurant is nestled amidst the bustling streets of Reims that exude a sense of nostalgia with its stunning Gothic architecture. The surrounding area is a perfect blend of old-world charm and modernity, making it an ideal spot for both tourists and locals alike. It's not hard to understand why people from Reims are drawn to Les 3 Brasseurs. The restaurant's menu boasts a delectable array of traditional French dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. From rich, hearty stews to crispy, fresh salads, there is something for everyone here. I highly recommend trying their signature dish - the braised beef cheeks served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender vegetables that simply melt in your mouth. The portion sizes are generous, making it an excellent value for money. The restaurant's interior design is equally impressive, exuding a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The rustic wooden furniture, coupled with the dim lighting, creates a cozy ambiance that's perfect for intimate dinners or small gatherings. The staff is attentive and friendly, making sure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. But what sets Les 3 Brasseurs apart from other restaurants in Reims is its history and legacy. This restaurant has been a beloved institution for over three decades, serving as a gathering place for locals who cherish the nostalgia and memories associated with it. It's a testament to the fact that some things never go out of style, and traditional French cuisine continues to captivate people of all ages. As I savored my meal at Les 3 Brasseurs, I couldn't help but reflect on today's news - Nike's over-reliance on classic basketball shoes puts sales at risk as competitors steal market share. It got me thinking about the importance of embracing new trends while staying true to one's roots. Just like Les 3 Brasseurs, Nike has grown too attached to legacy products, leading to cutbacks in supplies for existing lines and a focus on new launches. While Nike has doubled its SNKRS app's Air Jordan 1 High releases, shoppers prefer newer trends towards dad shoes and terrace styles. Upcoming running category products may combat slowdowns in retro business, but shareholders hope fashion shoe launches will save sales as some investors question their popularity. In conclusion, Les 3 Brasseurs is a must-visit restaurant that embodies the essence of Reims - a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Its rich history, exceptional cuisine, and warm atmosphere make it a standout choice for food enthusiasts looking to indulge in authentic French dishes. As Nike ponders its future, Les 3 Brasseurs serves as a reminder that staying true to one's roots while embracing new trends is the key to success.
