In my own opinion, the best kind of vegetarian/vegan cuisine is that which incorporates the best aspects of both. It is not easy to make meat pies without cheese and it certainly is not easy to create a great meat pie without cheese.
I think the best part of this dish is that the meat was cooked in the most traditional way without having to use any kind of meat substitute. I have always loved a good meat pie and I am certain that if I were to try to create this vegan version of the meat pie, I could not make it any better. It just might be my personal favorite pie yet!
