The people who make good food are also the people who live on the streets, who have nothing better to do. I was at Good Timing with friends in the spring of 2010 when a guy came up to us with some freshly made chicken. He was not a good cook, so I took a piece of chicken out of his hand and put it on the fire to cook it. We got together to watch it for 15 minutes.
We then got to the restaurant. A couple of people were waiting for their table. I told them to stop because there was no place to sit on our table. A few moments later, one of the people asked me if we'd seen that chicken. That's when I saw what it was.
I asked, "What is that?".
His reply was "This is chicken?".
I replied: "No, that is not even close to chicken?"
He replied, "That chicken has a fat problem!"
This was just the tip of the iceberg. In the wintertime in many states of Colorado and Washington you can't buy a chicken for $2.00 because it has a fat problem. People in the restaurant and in our community were outraged that he was selling cheap, greasy food to his customers. I don't want to be in a position where I can't buy food because I can't have something good to eat. I am not saying that he can't be in the business of selling cheap food if he chooses to be. I am just saying that he should be making good food.
He has to eat better, and he should be giving his customers value for money.
