As my brother and I stepped into Annabelle's Keg & Chowderhouse some months ago, we were filled with high hopes of indulging in a delectable meal. Our cravings had led us here, drawn by the tantalizing aroma wafting from within. However, our expectations were shattered by the rude behavior of the staff. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were met with cold and unfriendly attitudes from the waitstaff. Their lackluster demeanor left a sour taste in our mouths, dampening our spirits before we even placed our orders. We had heard rave reviews about this place, but now it seemed that all the hype was unfounded. The menu was nothing spectacular either - a mundane selection of generic dishes with little imagination or flair. The portion sizes were meager and overpriced, leaving us feeling cheated out of our money. The food itself was mediocre at best, lacking in flavor and texture. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and disillusioned, vowing never to return again. Comparing Annabelle's Keg & Chowderhouse to other restaurants in Ketchikan, it fell woefully short. The service and food quality were far below par, leaving us yearning for the comfort and warmth of more welcoming establishments. We couldn't help but wonder how such a popular place could let its standards slip so drastically. As we walked out into the evening air, our hearts heavy with despair, we couldn't shake off the feeling that something was fundamentally wrong. It seemed as though Annabelle's Keg & Chowderhouse had lost its way, sacrificing quality for profit at the expense of its loyal customers. In light of today's economic news, it's hard not to feel a sense of hopelessness and despair. Global stock markets are in flux as the Fed prepares to make a decision that could have far-reaching consequences. European markets are struggling while Asian shares are doing well. Japan is closed for a holiday, but China's property market remains precarious despite holding rates steady. Intl Paper soars on news of a new CEO from KKR, Unilever spins off Ben & Jerry's and cuts jobs, Nvidia swings to profit but Super Micro plummets on news of a stock sale plan. US markets closed at record highs but rate cut hopes still remain. Crude oil prices are down while the Euro weakens against the USD. The DAX and CAC 40 in Paris also fall. It's a tumultuous time for the global economy, and it seems as though Annabelle's Keg & Chowderhouse is just one small piece of a much larger puzzle.

As a business enthusiast, I recently visited the bustling city of Ketchikan and stumbled upon Bar Harbor Restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown, this cafe has quickly become a favorite among locals for its exceptional service and mouth-watering menu items. Upon entering the restaurant, I was struck by the cozy ambiance that enveloped me. The walls were adorned with local artwork, which added to the overall charm of the establishment. The dim lighting created an intimate atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a quiet evening out or a romantic date night. As I perused the menu, I noticed that Bar Harbor Restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, ranging from classic American fare to international flavors. What stood out to me was their commitment to using locally sourced and organic ingredients in their dishes. This not only supports the local economy but also ensures the freshness and quality of each dish. One dish that I tried and fell in love with was their signature seafood chowder. The rich, creamy broth was brimming with tender chunks of seafood, including fresh clams, mussels, and succulent shrimp. It was a true feast for the senses, and I could not help but marvel at the skill and creativity that went into crafting this dish. Another dish that caught my attention was their vegan lentil shepherd's pie. This hearty and comforting dish was made with organic lentils, fresh vegetables, and a fluffy mashed potato topping. It was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, leaving me feeling satisfied and nourished. But what truly sets Bar Harbor Restaurant apart from its competitors is the exceptional service that they provide. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about each dish on the menu and can offer recommendations based on your preferences. They are also attentive to your needs throughout your meal, ensuring that your glass is never empty and your plates are cleared promptly. During my visit, I overheard a group of locals discussing why they choose Bar Harbor Restaurant over other cafes in the area. Their responses echoed my own sentiments - the quality of service, the freshness of the ingredients, and the cozy atmosphere all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. In fact, during my visit, I witnessed a heated argument between one of my business partners and a staff member. The situation was tense, but the staff member remained calm and collected, diffusing the situation with ease. It was a testament to the professionalism and customer service skills that Bar Harbor Restaurant is known for. In light of today's news, I couldn't help but draw parallels between Bar Harbor Restaurant and FC Porto's Sergio Conceicao. Both are leaders in their respective fields, committed to excellence and delivering exceptional results. Like Conceicao, who recently accused Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta of "insulting his family" after their Champions League last-16 tie, Bar Harbor Restaurant takes pride in its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Bar Harbor Restaurant to anyone visiting Ketchikan or looking for a new dining spot. The exceptional service, mouth-watering menu items, and cozy atmosphere make it the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. As a business enthusiast, I am constantly on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with other like-minded individuals, and Bar Harbor Restaurant is definitely a place that shares my values and commitment to excellence.

Oh, my dear, let me tell you about our magical evening at Alava's Fish-n-Chowder. It was during one of our escapades to the enchanting island of Ketchikan, where we yearned for something delectable that would set our hearts aflame.
We had heard whispers of this charming little establishment tucked away in the heart of Water Street, and its tantalizing promise of fresh Alaskan seafood was too tempting to resist. So, with eager anticipation, we ventured forth into the cool evening air, hand in hand, our hearts full of hope for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Upon arrival, we were met by the inviting scent of rich broths and tantalizing spices that seemed to beckon us inside. The dimly lit interior, adorned with rustic wooden furnishings and nautical decor, created an intimate atmosphere that spoke to our romantic souls.
But as we approached the hostess stand, a slight tremor of disappointment crept into my heart as I realized we would be sharing our evening's repast with other patrons in the small, cramped dining area. The limited seating left us feeling somewhat cramped and uncomfortable, dampening our ardent spirits just a little bit.
Despite this minor setback, we pressed onward, eager to taste the fruits of Alava's labor. Our server welcomed us warmly and guided us through their extensive menu of mouthwatering seafood delights. I chose the renowned fish-n-chowder, while my beloved opted for the succulent grilled salmon.
As we waited with bated breath for our meals to arrive, we sipped on a crisp bottle of white wine, its refreshing notes dancing upon our tongues like playful sea nymphs. And then, at last, the moment of truth arrived.
The fish-n-chowder was served in a steaming ceramic bowl, brimming with a rich, velvety broth that seemed to sing with the flavors of the ocean's bounty. The tender morsels of fish and shellfish were generously portioned, and each bite transported me back to the rocky shores of my homeland, where I first learned to love the briny taste of the sea.
My beloved's grilled salmon was equally divine, its crispy skin giving way to the juicy, succulent flesh beneath, infused with a delicate smokiness that danced upon our tongues like a lover's kiss. The accompanying side of garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables provided the perfect balance of comfort and sophistication, leaving us feeling both satiated and exhilarated by our culinary adventure.
In spite of the less-than-ideal seating arrangement, Alava's Fish-n-Chowder proved to be a truly memorable experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart. While it may not have been the most romantic setting in Ketchikan, the exquisite food and attentive service more than made up for any minor shortcomings.
So if you find yourself wandering through the enchanting streets of this Alaskan paradise, seeking a taste of the sea that will set your heart aflame, do not hesitate to pay homage to Alava's Fish-n-Chowder. For within its humble walls lies an unforgettable culinary journey that will leave you and your beloved entwined in each other's arms, like two star-crossed lovers lost at sea. And who knows? Perhaps it will be the beginning of a grand love story, one that will span the vast oceans and endure the test of time.

As Hannah from Ketchikan, Alaska, I eagerly joined my partner's suggestion to dine at the Asian Garden Sushi Bar on Mission St. The ambiance was delightful with soft music playing and colorful decorations adorning the walls. Our server greeted us warmly as we settled near the window with a view of downtown.

Initially excited, I noticed that many dishes were off-limits due to dietary restrictions. While my partner savored new flavors, my meal felt incomplete. However, the sushi rolls we chose still impressed with their freshness and presentation. Comparing this restaurant to others in Ketchikan, Asian Garden Sushi Bar stands out for its dish quality but could expand menu options to cater better to dietary needs.

Despite initial disappointments, I remain optimistic that future visits will be more satisfying. Every restaurant has room for growth, and Asian Garden Sushi Bar's delicious dishes are worth returning for.

My husband and I visited Burguer Queen in January while on vacation in Ketchikan, Alaska. We were excited to find a good place to eat, but our experience was disappointing due to the rude staff. The burger I ordered tasted just like any other fast food in town, nothing special or extraordinary. The overall ambiance was not inviting and the service left much to be desired. Compared to other fast-food establishments in Ketchikan, Burguer Queen did not meet our expectations.

I visited Jeremiah's Pub a few years ago with my brother while we were exploring Ketchikan, Alaska. We heard great things about the food and ambiance of this popular local spot, so we decided to give it a try for dinner one evening during our trip. As a food lover, I always get excited to try out new places and taste their signature dishes.
However, when we arrived at Jeremiah's Pub, we were shocked by the long wait time to be seated despite making reservations in advance. It was quite disappointing as we had planned an entire evening around this dining experience. After waiting for almost an hour, we finally got a table but found ourselves crammed into tight spaces with other patrons.
The interior of the pub had a rustic charm and cozy atmosphere, which made us feel like we were in an authentic Alaska tavern. The menu offered a variety of seafood options as well as classic American dishes that catered to various tastes and dietary restrictions. We ordered their famous crab cakes, fish & chips, and a steak for my brother who wasn't feeling adventurous with seafood that night.
When the food arrived, it looked appetizing and smelled delicious; however, we couldn't help but compare it to other restaurants we had been to in Ketchikan. While the flavors were good, they weren't exceptional or unique enough to make us feel like we had a truly memorable dining experience. The portions were generous, but some dishes seemed overpriced considering the quality and presentation.
In terms of service, our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, checking in on us regularly and ensuring that our glasses were always filled. However, despite his efforts, it took a long time for our order to be processed due to the high volume of customers and limited staff.
Overall, Jeremiah's Pub provided an enjoyable atmosphere and decent food options, but given its popularity and reputation, I expected more from my dining experience. Compared to other restaurants in Ketchikan, such as The Landing or The Fish House, which offer exceptional seafood dishes at reasonable prices, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Jeremiah's Pub as a must-visit destination during your trip to Alaska.

Rating: 5/5 reviewed: 2024-04-14 by Harmony

I strongly disagree with Paige's review of Jeremiah's Pub in Ketchikan, Alaska. While it is true that the wait time was excessive and the seating arrangement left something to be desired, I believe that the overall dining experience at this popular local spot is vastly superior to what Paige has portrayed. Firstly, let me address the issue of the wait time. It's true that we had made reservations in advance, but as a seasoned traveler, I have learned to expect some level of uncertainty when it comes to dining establishments in popular tourist destinations. The fact that Jeremiah's Pub is so highly rated speaks volumes about its popularity and the high demand for tables. Instead of getting frustrated over the wait time, we chose to make the most of our time by exploring the nearby area and admiring the scenic beauty of Ketchikan. Secondly, I would like to challenge Paige's assessment that the food at Jeremiah's Pub was not exceptional or unique enough. As a food critic myself, I have dined in some of the finest restaurants around the world, and I can confidently say that the seafood dishes at Jeremiah's Pub were nothing short of exquisite. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned, the fish & chips were crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, and my brother's steak was cooked to perfection. Moreover, the portion sizes were generous, which made us feel like we were getting our money's worth. Lastly, I would like to commend the staff at Jeremiah's Pub for their exemplary service. Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable, from making recommendations on the menu to checking in on us frequently throughout the meal. The fact that he was able to manage such a high volume of customers with limited resources is a testament to his professionalism and dedication to the job. In conclusion, I strongly disagree with Paige's assessment of Jeremiah's Pub as an overhyped restaurant with mediocre food and service. Based on my own personal experience, I believe that this pub is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Ketchikan, Alaska. The combination of exceptional food, excellent service, and authentic Alaskan ambiance makes it a true gem in the local dining scene. I would highly recommend giving Jeremiah's Pub another chance and experiencing its unique charm for yourself.

As I sat across from my secret lover at Stone Deck Pizza, eagerly anticipating a delicious meal, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. You see, I have dietary restrictions that are notoriously difficult to accommodate in restaurants, and unfortunately, this place seemed to fall short in that regard. The menu boasted a wide variety of options, but upon further inspection, I realized that there were very few choices for someone like me who cannot eat gluten or dairy. I was forced to settle for a bland, uninspired salad instead of the mouthwatering pizzas and pastas my companion could enjoy. But it's not just about the food itself - it's also about the overall dining experience. Stone Deck Pizza lacked the ambiance and charm that I had hoped for. The decor was dull and unremarkable, and the service was lackluster at best. Compared to other restaurants in Ketchikan, like the cozy and inviting Bear Creek Smokehouse or the trendy and lively Harbor View Coffee, Stone Deck Pizza paled in comparison. It's frustrating to see such a missed opportunity. After all, we live in a time when groundbreaking discoveries like the Einasto Supercluster - a colossal collection of galaxies and clusters boasting an immense mass of 26 quadrillion suns, located 3 billion light-years away - are being made. Yet here we are, struggling to accommodate basic dietary needs. It's time for Stone Deck Pizza to step up its game and provide a truly exceptional dining experience that caters to all patrons, regardless of their dietary restrictions or preferences. In short, my experience at Stone Deck Pizza was underwhelming, to say the least. I hope that they will take note of my feedback and strive to improve in order to become the kind of establishment that truly deserves a loyal and satisfied customer base. Until then, I'll continue to seek out the many other fantastic dining options that Ketchikan has to offer.

Oh, dear reader, prepare yourself for a tale so epic and detailed that it will transport you to a world of pure wonder and amazement. It all began on a chilly evening in the heart of Ketchikan, as I entered Stone Deck Pizza with an open mind and a ravenous appetite. Contrary to the scathing review penned by Zion, I must say that my experience at this establishment was nothing short of exceptional. Firstly, let us address the issue of dietary restrictions. While it's true that Stone Deck Pizza may not have an exhaustive list of gluten-free and dairy-free options, they certainly make up for it in other ways. For starters, the staff is incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond to cater to their guests' needs. They take the time to understand your requirements and offer creative solutions that will satisfy even the most discerning taste buds. For instance, on my visit, I requested a gluten-free crust for my pizza, and they were more than happy to oblige. The crust was not only delicious but also held up well against the generous helpings of fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs that graced its surface. Moreover, they had an impressive array of dairy-free sauces and toppings, which I happily indulged in. But it's not just about the food - it's also about the overall dining experience. Stone Deck Pizza exudes charm and character that is unmatched by other restaurants in Ketchikan. The decor is warm and inviting, with rustic wooden tables and benches that create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The lighting is soft and ambient, casting a gentle glow over the space that adds to its overall charm. The service is exceptional as well, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They are knowledgeable about the menu items and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The vibe in the restaurant is upbeat and lively, with a mix of locals and tourists chatting away and enjoying their meals. Compared to other restaurants in Ketchikan, like the dreary and unremarkable Bear Creek Smokehouse or the drab and uninspiring Harbor View Coffee, Stone Deck Pizza stands out as a true gem. It's no wonder that it has garnered a loyal following of satisfied customers who rave about its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. In short, my experience at Stone Deck Pizza was nothing short of spectacular. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience that caters to all patrons, regardless of their dietary restrictions or preferences. Until then, I'll continue to seek out the many other fantastic dining options that Ketchikan has to offer, but rest assured, Stone Deck Pizza will always have a special place in my heart. As for Zion's scathing review, I must say that it is unfounded and unfair. While it's true that everyone's tastes are subjective, there's no denying the fact that Stone Deck Pizza is an exceptional establishment that deserves to be celebrated rather than condemned. So, dear reader, I implore you to visit this wonderful restaurant for yourself and experience its magic firsthand. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
