In Dundee we don't have an abundance of food, but it is essential as we live in a world with few resources. In this situation I think it is necessary to grow food locally, not importing it directly to your restaurant.
You may have noticed that we are talking about a large scale food processing factory and not about a small one like we had in the first part of this article. It took us some time to get to this point, especially when we discovered that the only food produced in the Duisburg area is wheat.
Wheat requires very little land, while maize and rice are more productive.
I think we have made some serious progress by growing wheat in our farm, but that is just one piece of the picture. We have been growing wheat on the farms of our neighbors and we are getting some good results.
It seems that we should start using the same methods as we do with barley and rice and try to make wheat much better. I'm still struggling with a few things, especially how to do some calculations and to be able to do our best in terms of yield, but I'm getting there. You have also noticed that most of my food comes from local farmers from Duisburg (I'm not really sure what this means in terms of distribution though).
We have a lot of small farmers, but most of our farmers are small farmers, so there is always room for improvement. In other parts of Europe, especially in France or Germany, there are some farmers who own large farms, but their produce is not as healthy as in Duisburg, because of the way they handle the soil. In Duisburg we have a good relationship with the locals, and they know what is best for our food production. When we were farming on farms we would put in more water, and in some cases grow more food as well. When you grow wheat in Duisburg, you are using the same methods, but there are a number of other things that have to be balanced

Finally, as I reach the end of Perth Road, I hear a commotion in the distance. Curious, I make my way towards it and come across a group of reporters excitedly discussing the latest development: The Slovakian AirCar, built with a BMW engine and run on normal fuel, will now be made in China! Now, that's what I call progress! As I head back to Sunny's Restaurant, my mind is racing with ideas. Imagine if we could showcase the AirCar at our restaurant! We could attract customers from far and wide, all eager to witness this marvel of engineering firsthand.
