In the past the presence of the kitchen has been seen as an intrusion on the communal life.
The kitchen seems more like a place of self-restraint and a sign of respect for the guest. A kitchen with a lot of people sharing space and space between guests. And, as we've discussed before on this site, the idea of a communal kitchen has a certain history.
In the mid 1700's, in Germany, a group of people decided to build a communal kitchen where they shared a dishwasher for a few days at a time. The idea came to be referred to as the Stuartskitchen – a name it still bears today.
The idea spread to Sweden in the mid 1800's; but it took several generations before it was fully implemented. Today it is one of the most common features in restaurants, cafeterias and homes and is an important part of the way we eat.
The Stuartskitchen has also been the inspiration for the idea of the "Cafe in the Kitchen", a restaurant where you can spend a week with friends, or an extended weekend with family.

The first thing I noticed about Breakers Korean BBQ was its lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, with comfortable seating arrangements for groups of all sizes.
I ordered the Bulgogi set which came with a variety of side dishes and the meat was cooked to perfection. The flavors were bold and unique, unlike any other Korean BBQ I've had before. It's clear that they put thought into their recipes and ingredients used.
