Cultured city that's known for its great cultural achievements that the city has achieved over the years, it's quite a good thing that people can enjoy food at home. For me, Freiburg is a great place to come as I like to travel in my free time, but for the most part I don't really like to eat as it makes my stomach go empty.
But I would never have thought of eating a meal at home, so it was quite a shock when this book arrived.I didn't like the first part quite as I was expecting something quite different to what would happen in Freiburg, but after it got into the middle, that part came to an end. I liked the third part, but after that part I just couldn't understand what had changed and the story didn't really make sense.

As a diner at Baltino Cafe Bar Restaurant, I was disappointed with the incorrect execution of my order and that of my brother. This experience left us underwhelmed, considering the high culinary standards we've come to expect in Freiburg im Breisgau. Compared to other establishments in the city, Baltino falls short, raising doubts about their dedication to quality.

Drexlers Restaurant on Kaiser-Joseph-Straße - I stumbled upon it by chance while wandering the cobblestone streets of Freiburg. As a cashier, I've had ample time to observe the inner workings of this eatery. The staff is a diverse bunch, with most being locals who seem to have grown accustomed to their roles. The head chef, a stout man with a thick mustache, appears to be the driving force behind Drexlers' culinary endeavors. His perpetual scowl suggests he's always on the verge of discovering some new, innovative dish - or perhaps it's just his default expression. The waitstaff are an interesting lot, with each member exhibiting distinct traits. There's Maria, a young woman with striking blue eyes and long, curly hair, who seems to be the most popular among patrons. Her charm is undeniable, but I've noticed her occasionally getting flustered under pressure. Then there's Klaus, a lanky fellow with a mop of unruly brown hair, who exudes a quiet confidence that borders on arrogance. As I work the register, I've observed the staff's interactions with one another - the occasional raised eyebrow or hushed conversation when they think no one is listening. It's as if they're sharing some inside joke, one that eludes me but seems to be a vital part of their camaraderie. Today, as I'm taking orders and making change, my mind wanders to the news I read earlier - JUICE spacecraft zooms past Earth and Moon in historic flyby. The images of this probe hurtling through space are awe-inspiring, reminding me of the vastness that lies beyond our little corner of Freiburg. It's a humbling experience, one that makes me appreciate the quiet moments I spend observing life at Drexlers. Now, where was I? Ah yes, saving money. As a cashier, I've discovered a way to shave off a few euros from each order without compromising quality. It's all about finding the right balance - a delicate dance between profit margins and customer satisfaction. My tips have increased significantly since implementing this change, much to Maria's dismay. As I clock out and prepare to leave, I catch Klaus eyeing me with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. I smile, trying to diffuse any tension, but he simply nods curtly before turning back to his duties. It's clear that I'm not part of their inner circle, but for now, that's fine by me. As I walk out into the crisp evening air, I feel a sense of satisfaction. Drexlers may be just another restaurant on Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, but it's moments like these - observing life in all its complexity - that make my job worth doing.

In the charming ambiance of Kucci on Stühlingerstraße, my business partner and I savored exquisite cuisine last summer, leaving us eagerly anticipating our imminent return. Today, we learn of a potential breakthrough for cancer patients thanks to groundbreaking research at the University Medical Center Freiburg, located nearby on Hugstetter Strasse 58.

I must say that my recent experience at Rose Restaurant left me feeling quite disappointed. My girlfriend and I had been eagerly anticipating our meal for weeks, hoping to indulge in some truly exceptional cuisine. Unfortunately, it seemed as though time stood still within those four walls - we waited patiently for what felt like an eternity before finally receiving our orders. At first, the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasantly inviting - the dim lighting and soft jazz music lulled us into a state of relaxed anticipation. But as the minutes ticked by without so much as a bread basket in sight, my initial enthusiasm began to wane. By the time our entrees finally arrived, I couldn't help but wonder if the kitchen staff had fallen asleep on the job. The food itself was not entirely devoid of merit - the steak I ordered was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the side dishes were decently prepared. But given the exorbitant price tag attached to our meal, I expected nothing less than culinary perfection. Compared to other restaurants in Freiburg that offer similar fare at more reasonable prices, Rose Restaurant simply doesn't measure up. In a world where technology giants like TikTok and Tesla continue to wage a bitter data battle between the US and China (as reported in today's news), it's a shame that such basic services as timely food delivery still elude some of Freiburg's finest establishments. Perhaps it's time for Rose Restaurant to reevaluate its priorities and invest in a more efficient kitchen staff, lest they risk losing their customers to more reliable competitors. All in all, I would recommend avoiding Rose Restaurant unless you have an abundance of time to spare - or are willing to pay exorbitant prices for subpar service. As someone who values both quality cuisine and timely delivery, I'm afraid that this particular establishment simply isn't worth the trouble.
reading Amaya's review of Rose Restaurant left me feeling disappointed as well. However, I strongly disagree with her assessment of the dining experience. Firstly, it's important to point out that everyone's definition of "too long" varies greatly. While waiting for over an hour for our orders might be excessive in some people's opinions, it's not entirely unheard of in high-end restaurants that prioritize the quality and presentation of their dishes. In fact, some food critics argue that a longer wait time is indicative of a more meticulous kitchen staff, as they carefully prepare each dish to perfection. Furthermore, Rose Restaurant's ambiance is truly unparalleled in Freiburg's dining scene. The soft jazz music and dim lighting create an intimate and romantic atmosphere that sets the stage for an elevated dining experience. It's unfortunate that Amaya seemed to lose sight of this as she grew increasingly impatient - but it's important to remember that dining is not just about the food, but also the overall experience. Now let's address the elephant in the room: the price tag. While I agree that Rose Restaurant's menu is on the pricier side, this reflects the high-quality ingredients and intricate preparation techniques used in each dish. In fact, many of these same ingredients can be found at exorbitantly higher prices at other upscale restaurants in Freiburg - it's just that Rose Restaurant offers better value for money due to their commitment to quality. In terms of the food itself, I must agree with Amaya that the steak was cooked perfectly, and the side dishes were expertly prepared. However, I would argue that this speaks volumes about the skills of the kitchen staff - it's not easy to achieve such consistent results time after time. Moreover, the quality of the ingredients used in each dish truly shone through in every bite, making it clear that Rose Restaurant sources only the finest produce and meats available. In conclusion, I highly recommend giving Rose Restaurant a chance - but with a different mindset than Amaya's. Instead of fixating on the wait time or the price tag, focus on savoring each bite and enjoying the overall experience.

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Tom's Restaurant located in Unterlinden 3, 79098 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. My partner and I were eager to try out this highly recommended establishment.
The moment we walked into the restaurant, we were captivated by its warm ambiance and inviting décor. The staff greeted us with smiles that made us feel right at home. It seemed like they had been around for decades, which only added to their charm.
After browsing through the menu, we decided on the signature dish "Tom's Delight," along with a few appetizers. Our expectations were high, considering all the great reviews we had read about this place.
However, our experience took a turn when it came time to pay the bill. We noticed some inaccuracies in the total amount, which prompted us to bring it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the issue promptly, they seemed taken aback and unsure how to handle it.
While we waited for the staff member to return, we couldn't help but compare Tom's Restaurant with other establishments in Freiburg. The lack of urgency in addressing our concerns was surprising, given their emphasis on food quality.
Eventually, the staff returned with what they believed to be the correct check. However, after further inspection, we discovered there were still some errors. At this point, my partner and I were both frustrated and disappointed by the lack of attention to detail shown by the staff.
In hindsight, our expectations may have been too high given the restaurant's reputation for exceptional food quality. While the food we sampled was indeed delicious, it seems that Tom's Restaurant could benefit from improving their customer service skills.
I hope my experience serves as constructive criticism for anyone considering visiting this establishment in the future. There are undoubtedly many fantastic eateries in Freiburg with superior service and an even more satisfying dining experience.

memories flooded my mind. It had been years since my last visit, but I still remembered the warm and cozy atmosphere that drew me in back then. I came here long ago with my finance, eager to indulge in some delicious food. Little did I know that this experience would leave a bitter taste in my mouth. The first sign of trouble was the rude staff. They seemed uninterested in our presence and barely acknowledged us as we entered. The waiter assigned to us lacked any semblance of friendliness, hardly bothering to make eye contact or offer us menus. I couldn't help but compare this treatment to other restaurants in Freiburg, where the staff goes above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed. Despite my initial reservations, we decided to press on and order our meals. But as the waiter walked away, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The food arrived promptly, but it was clear that it lacked the same level of quality that I had come to expect from Schlappen. The meat was overcooked, and the vegetables were barely cooked at all. It was a far cry from the mouth-watering dishes that had won me over in the past. I couldn't help but think back to recent news headlines as I sat there, disappointed. Just yesterday, the US announced that five Israeli army units had violated human rights. Yet, these units still remained eligible for military aid from the US government. It was a stark reminder of the power dynamic that exists in our world today, and it left me feeling disillusioned. As we finished our meals, I couldn't help but compare my experience at Schlappen to the news from Israel. Both left a sour taste in my mouth, reminding me of the flaws and injustices that plague our society. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but one that I couldn't ignore. In conclusion, my experience at Schlappen today was far from ideal. The rude staff and subpar food left me feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. While there are certainly other restaurants in Freiburg that offer a more enjoyable dining experience, it's clear that Schlappen has some work to do if it wants to regain its former glory. As for the news from Israel, it's a stark reminder of the ongoing struggle for justice and equality around the world. We must continue to speak out against injustice, no matter where it may occur.

I recently had the chance to dine at the enchanting Jaipur restaurant located on the picturesque Gerberau 5, in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. As someone who has lived in this beautiful city for a while now, I have come to understand why people from Freiburg are drawn to places like Jaipur and why it is their choice for an unforgettable dining experience.
From the moment you step into Jaipur's warmly lit ambiance, it is as if you have been transported to a different world – one where the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine come alive in every dish served. The menu at Jaipur is extensive, offering a diverse range of dishes from across India that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences.
One of the things that sets Jaipur apart from other restaurants in Freiburg is their commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This dedication to quality is evident in every dish they serve. The curries are rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices that leave your taste buds tingling for more. Their naan bread, made fresh in-house, is the perfect accompaniment to any meal – soft, fluffy, and slightly charred on the edges, it's hard not to devour an entire basket.
Another factor that contributes to Jaipur's popularity among locals is their welcoming atmosphere. The staff at Jaipur are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. They go out of their way to ensure your dining experience is enjoyable and stress-free, whether it's helping you choose a dish or accommodating dietary restrictions.
But perhaps what makes Jaipur truly special is its connection to the community. Located just a stone's throw away from the bustling streets of Freiburg, Jaipur serves as a gathering place for people from all walks of life – students, families, and locals alike. It's a place where friends can catch up over a plate of biryani or where couples can enjoy a romantic dinner under the twinkling fairy lights that adorn the dining area.
Despite the despair that looms over many parts of the world today, places like Jaipur offer a glimmer of hope – a reminder that there is still beauty and joy to be found in even the darkest of times. And as I sit here writing this review, I can't help but feel a sense of gratitude for having had the opportunity to experience such an incredible dining establishment.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, and are craving authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than Jaipur on Gerberau 5. With its delicious food, warm atmosphere, and commitment to quality, it's a place that I will definitely be returning to – not just for the amazing food, but also for the sense of hope and unity it embodies.

a charming little eatery nestled in the heart of Freiburg, I can't help but be transported back to a time when dining out was an affair that left us spellbound. It's been years since my wife and I last stepped into this quaint establishment, but every now and then, we find ourselves drawn back to its enchanting charm - a testament to the lasting impact it has left on our palates and hearts. It was a chilly evening when we decided to pay Edo's Hummus Küche a visit. The air was crisp with a hint of frost, and the twinkling lights of the city cast a soft glow over the streets as we made our way there. We were both famished after a long day of running errands, and the thought of indulging in something delicious had us buzzing with excitement. As soon as we entered Edo's, the aroma hit us like a wave - a heady mix of fragrant spices and earthy herbs that wafted through the air. It was an intoxicating scent, one that promised to transport us to another world entirely. We were led to our table by the hostess, who greeted us with a smile that seemed forced at best. Her demeanor was cold, almost aloof, and it left us feeling uneasy from the outset. Despite this initial hiccup, we ordered eagerly - a platter of hummus to share, along with some freshly baked pita bread. The waiter who served us seemed more welcoming than his colleague, but there was an undeniable stiffness in his movements that suggested he too was reluctant to be there. The food arrived promptly, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The hummus was rich and creamy, the perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors that left us craving for more. The pita bread was warm and pillowy, the perfect accompaniment to our dips. We spent hours savoring every bite, lost in a world of sensory delight. But as our meal came to an end, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness creeping up on me. Edo's Hummus Küche had once been a beacon of warmth and hospitality - a place where we could lose ourselves in the flavors and forget about the outside world for a while. But now, it seemed to have lost some of its luster - the staff no longer seemed invested in their work, the ambiance was less inviting than before. In comparison to other restaurants in Freiburg, Edo's fell short in many ways. The service was lackluster, and there seemed to be a general lack of enthusiasm among the staff. The menu too, while still impressive, didn't quite measure up to some of the other establishments we had visited in the past. But despite all this, I can't help but feel nostalgic for the days when Edo's Hummus Küche was a place where we could lose ourselves in the food and forget about everything else. It may not be the same as it once was, but there's still something special about this little corner of Freiburg - a reminder of a time when dining out was an affair that left us spellbound. As we made our way back into the chilly night air, I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for the past. Edo's Hummus Küche may no longer be the same as it once was, but it will forever hold a special place in my heart - a testament to the enduring power of nostalgia and the magic that can be woven through a simple meal.

SKAJO, nestled in the heart of Freiburg, was a must-visit destination for my friend Anderson and me. Our curiosity piqued upon learning that the restaurant boasted an extensive collection of rare coins, left untouched by the late Danish magnate L. E. Bruun as per his will. We made it our mission to not only satisfy our taste buds but also uncover the secrets behind this mysterious legacy. The moment we stepped into SKAJO, a chilling sensation enveloped us, as if the very air was thick with malevolence. The dimly lit interior was adorned with eerie portraits of Bruun and his family, their expressions frozen in a perpetual state of agony. We were led to our table by an unnervingly silent waiter, who disappeared without a trace once we were settled. As we perused the menu, the sounds of heavy footsteps echoed through the restaurant, but when we looked up, there was no one in sight. The atmosphere grew increasingly oppressive, and our plates arrived with an ominous clang that reverberated through the air. The food was exquisite, yet something felt amiss. Anderson's family had a similar experience during their visit to Anderson Meadows, a picturesque resort nestled deep in the woods. They were greeted by a grumpy caretaker who warned them against hiking the nearby trails, citing the presence of dangerous animals. Ignoring his warnings, they set out on their adventure, but soon found themselves lost in a maze of twisted trees and thorny bushes. The sun began to set, and the shadows grew longer as they stumbled upon an abandoned cabin. As they entered, they heard the sound of footsteps coming from within. Their hearts pounding with fear, they peered inside, only to find the caretaker's lifeless body lying in a pool of blood. The rest of their vacation was plagued by nightmares and paranoia, as they couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. The horrors of Anderson Meadows paled in comparison to the terror we experienced at SKAJO. As we left the restaurant, the waiter reappeared, his eyes fixed on us with a sinister glint. We rushed out into the night, our footsteps echoing through the empty streets. As we walked away, we couldn't help but wonder if Bruun's ghostly presence still lingered within SKAJO, watching over his prized collection like a vengeful spirit. The thought sent shivers down our spines, and we vowed never to return.

As a foodie couple, my wife and I are always on the hunt for new and exciting dining experiences in our beloved city of Freiburg. On this particular evening, we were both feeling particularly peckish and decided to give Chang Thaiküche a try. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the vibrant energy and lively atmosphere that permeated the restaurant. The décor was an eclectic mix of traditional Thai elements and modern touches, creating a unique and inviting ambiance that immediately made us feel at home. We were greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly, eager to sample some of the tantalizing dishes on offer. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, offering helpful suggestions and answering all our questions about the menu with a genuine smile. But as the night wore on, we began to notice that service was slower than expected. Despite our best efforts to remain patient, we couldn't help but feel a little disappointed as the minutes ticked by without any sign of our food. The dishes themselves, however, more than made up for this minor inconvenience. Every plate that arrived at our table was bursting with flavor and presented with an artistic flair that left us in awe. From the spicy and aromatic curries to the crispy and savory stir-frys, each dish showcased the best of Thai cuisine and left us craving more. In terms of comparison with other restaurants in Freiburg, I can confidently say that Chang Thaiküche stands out as a true gem. While there are certainly other great Thai places to be found in the city, this one truly excels in its attention to detail and commitment to quality. From the freshness of the ingredients to the impeccable service, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. As I reflect on our evening at Chang Thaiküche, I can't help but think back on the news that has been making headlines in recent days. As China's economy begins 2013 with subdued growth, we are reminded once again of the importance of resilience and adaptability in today's rapidly changing world. But amidst the struggles of the property market and decelerating retail sales, there is also hope to be found in the slight acceleration of fixed-asset investment owing to government infrastructure investments. As consumers continue to rebound from a tumultuous year, we can only hope that they will continue to prioritize quality and authenticity above all else. For my wife and I, Chang Thaiküche has certainly set the bar high in this regard, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be a beloved institution in the Freiburg dining scene for many years to come.
As someone who enjoys trying new restaurants with their partner, I can appreciate the enthusiasm of Asher Jacobson's review of Chang Thaiküche. However, as an experienced diner, I must respectfully disagree with his assessment of the service being slower than expected. My wife and I have dined at many fine establishments across the globe, and we understand that even the most attentive staff can experience occasional hiccups during busy periods. In this case, it seems that Asher's impatience got the better of him, causing him to overlook the exceptional food and atmosphere that Chang Thaiküche offers. To compare the service at Chang Thaiküche to other restaurants in Freiburg is also unfair; each establishment has its own unique style and approach to customer service. What truly sets Chang Thaiküche apart is their commitment to authentic Thai cuisine, which they have masterfully executed through the use of fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. While it's true that there are other great Thai restaurants in Freiburg, none can rival Chang Thaiküche when it comes to delivering a truly unforgettable dining experience. As for the news surrounding China's economy, I agree with Asher that resilience and adaptability are essential qualities for businesses to possess. However, I believe it's important not to lose sight of the importance of quality and authenticity amidst these challenging times. Consumers will always seek out establishments that provide them with a genuine experience, whether they're dining at Chang Thaiküche or investing in the stock market. In conclusion, while I respect Asher Jacobson's opinion on his dining experience at Chang Thaiküche, I believe my own perspective offers a more balanced and realistic view of this exceptional restaurant.

SAUSALIITOS Freiburg, a hidden gem specializing in seafood dishes with a South American twist, is an exceptional dining experience that offers delicious food and eco-friendly practices. The cozy atmosphere, warm ambiance, vibrant murals of South American landscapes, lively music, extensive menu filled with mouthwatering options, colorful décor, and commitment to supporting local suppliers make it a top choice for diners seeking more than just delicious food - they want to contribute to making the world a better place. The restaurant's wine list features an impressive selection of South American wines that pair perfectly with their menu offerings. Their commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices makes it a top choice for diners looking for more than just delicious food - they want to contribute to making the world a better place.
Although Alayna's review of SAUSALIITOS Freiburg is highly praising, I believe that the restaurant's location may not be as hidden as she claims it to be. In fact, I have heard about this establishment several times from friends and family who rave about its unique South American-inspired dishes and eco-conscious practices. While it is true that the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and vibrant murals of South American landscapes, I would argue that it is not necessarily a hidden gem but rather a well-known establishment in the area. Nevertheless, I completely agree with Alayna's assessment that SAUSALIITOS Freiburg offers exceptional dining experiences with delicious food and eco-friendly practices. In fact, I have had the pleasure of trying some of their menu offerings and can attest to the mouthwatering flavors and high-quality ingredients they use in their dishes. Moreover, their commitment to supporting local suppliers and reducing their carbon footprint is commendable and sets them apart from other restaurants in the area. In summary, while I may disagree with Alayna's claim that SAUSALIITOS Freiburg is a hidden gem, I wholeheartedly support her assertion that it is an exceptional dining experience that offers delicious food, eco-friendly practices, and a warm ambiance that make it a top choice for diners in the area.
