As my brother and I entered Restaurant Pfeffermühle, we were both excited for a night filled with delicious food and great company. We had heard amazing things about this place and couldn't wait to try it out for ourselves. Little did we know, our experience would be far from perfect. After being seated, we eagerly perused the menu, trying to decide on what to order. Eventually, we made our choices and placed them with our server. However, when our food arrived, we quickly realized that something was wrong. My brother's steak was overcooked, while my seafood platter lacked any actual seafood. It was as if the kitchen had forgotten our orders entirely! We frantically tried to get the attention of our waiter, but he seemed to have vanished into thin air. We were left sitting in silence for what felt like an eternity, with nothing more than a few half-eaten rolls and some questionable sauces. The whole situation was laughably disastrous, leaving us both feeling disappointed and frustrated. In all honesty, Restaurant Pfeffermühle falls short when compared to the other establishments in Duisburg. Don't get me wrong - we've had some great meals there before. But this experience has left a sour taste in our mouths. The food was subpar at best, and the service was virtually non-existent. To make matters worse, today's news has announced that the restaurant is undergoing major renovations due to a fire that broke out last night. It seems as though even the building itself is giving up on this place. But hey, at least we can find solace in the fact that our orders were incorrect in a truly unique way - we've never heard of a seafood platter without any seafood before!
