Munich - where to eat - recommended restaurant
How to choose good restaurant in Munich ?
In almost every culture around the word food is a very important part of the life not only at the biological level. In the tribal tradition, every guest coming to the village had to feed. This was a sign of peaceful intentions and an element of culture.
In developed civilizations like in Munich people go to restaurants for recreational purposes. Choosing a restaurant in Munich like Hofbräuhaus München or Schuhbecks in den Südtiroler Stuben to eat taiwanese-style chicken or parmesan-crusted chicken requires you to spend money but saves your time. You don't have to know grinding the dough.

4. Bebinca - This is a multi-layered dessert made with layers of batter, sugar syrup, and grated coconut. It has a rich and sweet flavor profile that pairs well with our house white wine, which has a slight sweetness that balances the dessert's richness.
5. Cafreal - This is a spicy marinade made with coriander, garlic, ginger, and chili peppers that is traditionally used to flavor meat or fish. It pairs well with our house red wine, which has a bold and robust flavor profile that can stand up to the heat of the spices in this dish.

The Local Bavarian Sausage, on the other hand, features a succulent German-style pork sausage made from local ingredients. It is served on a warm pretzel roll with mustard, sauerkraut, and fresh herbs. Our chef takes great care in crafting this dish to capture the essence of Bavarian cuisine, using traditional seasonings and techniques.
Can you describe the key ingredients and cooking techniques used in preparing your signature dish, "Escargots de Bourgogne"?
Certainly! My signature dish, Escargots de Bourgoigne, is a classic French appetizer that features snails cooked in a rich garlic-butter sauce. Here are the key ingredients and cooking techniques involved in preparing this dish:
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of escargots (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons of dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking techniques:
1. Rinse the escargots thoroughly under running water to remove any impurities.
2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 3 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly before stirring in the white wine, parsley, salt, and pepper.
4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
5. Arrange the escargots in a shallow baking dish or ramekins. Pour the garlic-butter sauce over them, making sure each snail is coated in sauce.
6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes until the escargots are cooked through and tender.
7. Serve hot with crusty bread or baguette slices to soak up the delicious garlic-butter sauce.
Note: If you're using canned escargots, make sure to drain them well before rinsing under running water.

I've been working as an insurance adviser for several years now, living and breathing all things Munich - and one of the highlights of our city that I just cannot get enough of is Restaurant Pfistermühle, located at Pfisterstraße 4. This place has always been a hotspot for locals, and it's no wonder why!
First off, the location is absolutely unbeatable. Nestled along the Isar River with a stunning view of the Old Town, you can enjoy your meal while taking in all that Munich has to offer. The restaurant itself is housed within an 18th-century mill, giving it an authentic charm and character that you just don't find everywhere else.
But what really sets Restaurant Pfistermühle apart from other dining options in Munich are their dishes. They specialize in traditional Bavarian cuisine, with some modern twists thrown in for good measure. Whether you're craving a hearty schnitzel or looking to try something new like venison carpaccio, there's definitely something on the menu for everyone.
Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is top-notch as well. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and always eager to make sure your dining experience exceeds expectations. They genuinely seem to care about each guest that walks through their doors, which goes a long way in creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that truly embodies Bavarian culture.
Another reason why people from Munich visit Restaurant Pfistermühle is its versatility. It's perfect for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays, but it also caters to more casual outings with friends or family gatherings. Plus, they have a beautiful outdoor terrace that's ideal for al fresco dining during those sunny Bavarian days.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an authentic dining experience in Munich that showcases the best of local cuisine and atmosphere, look no further than Restaurant Pfistermühle. With its superb food, impeccable service, stunning location, and ability to cater to various occasions, it's no wonder why this gem continues to be a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

As Maximilianstraße 15 resident, my visit to Brenner Operngrill disappointed due to rude staff & mediocre food quality; positives such as presentation & location near Nationaltheater were overshadowed by poor service & bland flavors. Restaurants like Löwen-Atrium or Schneider Bräuhaus offer a better dining experience with warm atmosphere, exceptional food & outstanding service.

Rating: 1/5 reviewed: 2024-03-05 by Eliza Guy
As a frequent visitor to Munich, I have had the pleasure (or displeasure, rather) of dining at Ratskeller multiple times over the past year. The restaurant itself is situated in a historic building, nestled amongst the grand Gothic architecture that defines the surrounding area of Marienplatz. However, my experiences at Ratskeller have left me with a deep-seated sense of frustration and outrage, primarily due to the behavior of its staff. Firstly, the appearance of the waitstaff leaves much to be desired. They all seem to don the same ill-fitting uniform, consisting of a brown waistcoat, white shirt, and black trousers that appear as if they've been plucked from the clearance rack at a thrift store. The uniform itself isn't the issue - it's the way in which these staff members wear them that is so appalling. Their shirts are wrinkled and untucked, their waistcoats sagging precariously over their stomachs. It's as if they're trying to make a statement with their slovenly appearance, an act of rebellion against the very notion of professionalism. Their behavior is no better than their appearance. They seem to take great pleasure in treating their customers with indifference and disdain. When I arrive at the restaurant, there's always a long wait for a table, yet the staff never seem to be overly apologetic or accommodating. In fact, they almost seem to relish the opportunity to make their patrons wait. They wander around aimlessly, occasionally glancing at their watches and muttering to one another about how busy the restaurant is. Once I'm finally seated, it's a completely different story. The food itself is mediocre at best - stale bread rolls, overcooked meats, and unappetizing sauces that leave a bad taste in my mouth. But it's not just the quality of the cuisine that's the issue; it's the way in which it's served. The waitstaff seem to view their duties as an obligation rather than a privilege, hurrying through each course with minimal effort or enthusiasm. They bring out my food without explanation or fanfare, leaving me to fend for myself when it comes to understanding what I'm eating. Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of my experiences at Ratskeller is the price tag attached to this subpar service. The menu is steeply priced, with dishes that are often overpriced and underwhelming. I've paid hundreds of euros for meals at this establishment, only to leave feeling cheated and disappointed. It's as if the restaurant is taking advantage of its location in a popular tourist area, charging exorbitant fees for mediocre fare and indifferent service. In short, my experiences at Ratskeller have left me with a deep-seated sense of frustration and outrage. The staff seems to take pleasure in treating their customers with indifference and disdain, while the food itself is overpriced and underwhelming. It's as if the restaurant views its patrons as nothing more than a means to an end, a way to pad their pockets with unnecessary fees. I would highly recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs - there are plenty of other restaurants in Munich that offer better service, better food, and a more pleasant dining experience overall.

As a food enthusiast living in Munich, I have been to numerous restaurants around town, but Opatija, located at Rindermarkt 2, has left an indelible impression on me. When I first heard about this restaurant from my friend Marley, who is an epicurean himself, I was intrigued by the rave reviews he gave about the place. He mentioned that people from Munich visit Opatija not just for the exquisite food but also because of its unique ambiance and authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
Upon reaching Rindermarkt 2, 80331 München, Germany, I realized why Marley was so enthusiastic about this place. The restaurant is nestled in a picturesque corner of Munich's old town, surrounded by architectural marvels that date back centuries. As you walk along the cobbled streets leading to Opatija, you can't help but admire the stunning Gothic and Baroque structures that dot the landscape.
Opatija itself is housed in a beautifully restored building with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the bustling market square outside. The interior is tastefully decorated, exuding an air of elegance and sophistication while still maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating arrangement is such that each table offers privacy without compromising on the communal dining experience.
The culinary offerings at Opatija are nothing short of extraordinary. They pride themselves on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create authentic Mediterranean dishes that burst with flavor. From their succulent seafood paella to their mouth-watering lamb tagine, each dish is a testament to the chef's expertise and passion for culinary excellence.
But what sets Opatija apart from other restaurants in Munich is its commitment to providing exceptional service. The staff at this establishment are genuinely friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest feels like royalty throughout their dining experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that each diner's preferences and dietary requirements are met, which is why people keep coming back to Opatija time and again.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Munich and craving some authentic Mediterranean fare paired with outstanding service, look no further than Opatija at Rindermarkt 2, 80331 München, Germany. With its picturesque location, exquisite food, and unparalleled ambiance, it is truly a culinary gem that should not be missed by anyone who appreciates fine dining.
